Our History

It was a dark stormy morning.....okay, it was a bright sunny day when I realized I wanted to start my own architectural firm. So on April 1, 1991 I began my journey.  It has been over 25 years of listening to clients desires, wishes and dreams.  The resulting designs have brought joy and accolades from clients and communities. I continue today as a sole practitioner offering the latest in design and renderings to meet clients needs.

L squared architect formally known as Lawrence Lee Vowels architect is a commercial + residential architectural / interior design firm based in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area but practices throughout the southeast.  an award winning firm establish in 1992.  We continue to design contemporary to traditional buildings & spaces.
